Trooper K.D. Mills said Daniel Lee Robinson, 53, of Weldon, was traveling north in a pickup pulling a utility trailer when he approached a curve and kept straight.
The vehicle struck a culvert and went in the ditch shortly before 1 p.m. just past Trueblood Road.
Mills said Robinson was unresponsive and appeared to sustain no serious injuries from the crash. Speed was not a factor in the crash.
The autopsy will help determine whether Robinson died from injuries sustained in the crash. Mills said Robinson’s family told him he had no known preexisting condition.
