Another man is wanted in an April shooting in the 900 block of Henry Street, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

Captain Andy Jackson said investigators are looking for Cadaryl Lamont Carter, 23, who is wanted for three counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Three people have been arrested thus far in the April 3 shooting of Raymond Garner III, 34, of Roanoke Rapids.

Carter is believed to be in Halifax or Warren counties and is the only person to not be arrested in the case.

Several days after the shooting, Christopher Lee Greene, 41, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Also arrested have been Lamont Jermaine Hopson, who was charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, and Dudley Lamar Kee, who was charged with the same charges as Hopson.

A motive remains unknown and police continue to investigate.

Garner was shot in the chest once and was recently released from Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 252-533-2810 or Halifax County Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
