Fire damaged a house at 206 Lakeview Drive this afternoon but Davie Volunteer Fire Chief David Padgett said the damages appears to be repairable.

Davie got the call shortly before 3:45 p.m. after a neighbor saw smoke coming from the house. Firefighters from Davie and Rheasville, which responded on mutual aid, observed thick smoke inside the house and found flames inside the wall. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes, Padgett said.

The fire was most likely the result of an electrical problem. No one was home when the fire was called in.
