Erdmann Erdmann Roanoke Rapids Police Department

Mark Warren Erdmann turned himself in to Roanoke Rapid police Monday night on charges associated with an indoor marijuana growing operation on Woodland Road.

Erdmann, 26, has been living in Boone and was jailed on $8,000 secured bond and has a January 20 court date.

He faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of schedule II, manufacturing schedule VI, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and larceny. The last two counts are about a city street sign which was stolen.

Erdmann's mother, Juliene, was arrested last Monday morning after police uncovered the growing operation when responding to an alarm call at her house at 101 Woodland Road.

It is still not clear what triggered the alarm to go off, Captain Andy Jackson said.
