On July 28, a Criminal Information was filed charging Viverette with conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine. On August 24, he pled guilty to the charge.
According to the investigation, Viverette is an upper-level narcotics distributer who has been selling cocaine in Nash County since 2006.
On March, he made a controlled purchase of a kilogram of cocaine. Following the transaction, he fled from investigators. After a brief vehicle pursuit he was arrested and was found to be in possession of a kilogram of cocaine.
The investigation was conducted by the Nash County Sheriff’s Office. Special Assistant United States Attorney Nathan Huff represented the United States in the case.
Huff is an assistant district attorney in the Seventh Prosecutorial District, comprised of Nash, Wilson, and Edgecombe Counties.
District Attorney Robert A. Evans has assigned him to the United States Attorney’s Office to prosecute federally the district’s most serious drug and organized crime cases. This has been made possible by a grant funded by the Governor’s Crime Commission.
