Notice is hereby given that the Roanoke Rapids City Council will hold an emergency meeting Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the first floor conference room of the J. Reuben Daniel City Hall for the purpose of taking action on storm related matters.

Public notice HAS to be given for these type of meetings. And as far as sorting our debris; sometimes that is determined by the landfill that will be receiving it! Please try to be informed before you spout off.

A scheduled emergency meeting?? I'm sorry, just sounds ironic to me. Like doing something on purpose accidentally. Oh... and I motion that the city just pick up the darn trash on the side of the streets and quit worrying about it being separated. Tell the council they can do the sparating and practice for that $700,000 transfer station!!
