Disaster center opened at T.J. Davis

FEMA has established a Disaster Recovery Center for residents of Halifax County at T.J. Davis Recreation Center located at 400 E. 6th Street . 

The center will open at noon today and be open until 7:00 p.m. 

The operating hours for the Disaster Recovery Center will be from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week.  Citizens who sustained damage as a result of the tornado on April 16, 2011 should visit the Disaster Recovery Center and ensure that have registered with FEMA. 

Representatives from the Red Cross as well as the Small Business Alliance will be at the Disaster Recovery Center as well.
