Investigators are trying to identify this man. Investigators are trying to identify this man. Halifax County Sheriff's Office

An August breaking and entering on Carolina Rest Home Road led Halifax County Sheriff’s Office investigators to a retail store where items stolen in the crime were taken to the store and returned for a refund.

Major Bruce Temple said investigators are trying to identify the man in the surveillance photo.

Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office is investigating a larceny from a home in the Justice Branch Road area of Enfield, which occurred on November 20. Items stolen include a silver computer processor, computer monitor with silver outlining, a PlayStation 3 and accessories, a GameCube console and accessories, RCA Blu-ray DVD player and assorted video games.

A witness observed a small white car in the yard at the time of theft. If anyone has knowledge of the theft call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.

I wonder if this is also the same person, or part of the same group of persons, who have been stealing from homes since September.
