Byrd-Robinson collects most votes in Weldon

In the only contested local race in Halifax County, Tanya Byrd-Robinson collected the highest number of votes in the Weldon City Schools Board of Education race.

She got 931 votes, according to unofficial returns.

Incumbents Hugh Credle and Edith Jenkins finished close, with Credle getting 729 and Jenkins 730. The top four highest votes wins the seat.

Pattie Cotton got 845 votes and Tim Green got 801.
