Bondarek said he looks forward to seeing Jeff Hinton, who, after a vote Tuesday night by city council, will return as interim chief.

I would like to thank the community because I had a lot of private and public support and I appreciate that greatly. I look forward to serving the citizens of Roanoke Rapids as I have for many years now."
