Carol Harris Cowen, running unopposed for the council seat Ed Liverman will vacate, got 95.38 percent of the votes. There were seven write-in ballots cast.
Incumbent Carl Ferebee, who was also running unopposed, collected 97.37 percent of the votes with one write-in.
In the Weldon town board races, incumbent Walter Clark Jr. and Susan G. Smith won, each collecting 46.95 percent of the votes. There were seven write-ins.
